A basic level of progress has been made in the restoration of Yarisawa hiking trail which was decimated by heavy rain.

Since last week, our staff members from Yarisawa Lodge and Yarigatake Sanso have rallied to work on the restoration process. Despite our efforts, the weather forecast still predicts rain for the next few days. However, if the predicted rain does not hinder our progress and the newly constructed trail can endure the weather conditions forecasted, we expect the trail to be passable by the end of this week.

Please note that the newly constructed trail is only a temporary measure to make the path accessible and is more vulnerable to adverse weather conditions compared to the conventional trail.

Details will be provided after the trail has been evaluated and deemed safe.
